In the November 2016 issue (16) of the Cinema Scandinavia magazine, I have written a short article on the Encounters Film Festival in Bristol, with particular emphasis on the Lithuanian short films exhibited during the festival programming.

The short article looks at the growing valorisation of emerging and novice Lithuanian filmmakers at European film festivals, such as Locarno and the importance of being screened as part of the Pardi di domain (young talents) section.

All in all, the piece considers The Noisemaker (Karolis Kaupinis, 2014), Dog’s Life (Leva Veiveryte, 2013), The Fish of My Life (Julius Siciunas, 2014) and Anthology of the Plot (Arturas Jevdokimovas, 2015).
